Playback issues with VIDEO_TS dvd rips since 17.0

After updating from 16.1 to 17.1 i noticed some playback issues with my dvd rips (VIDEO_TS). The audio seems ok, but the video itself is stuttering. The cpu load goes from 50% on 16.1 to 95+% on 17.1. I converted the dvd structure to MKV with makemkv and 17.1 plays it without problems (also in debug.log).

Is there any known issue? I will happily provide any info to get this issue fixed.

Update:

  1. Tested a downgrade to 17.0 and the latest 17.1 nightly build -> same issue.
  2. Moved all ifo, bup and vob files from VIDEO_TS to the root to avoid the ERROR: NFS: Failed to stat() messages -> same issue.
