I searched but could not find the situation that I am experiencing. I have a second generation FireTV Stick. I can get 5.1 audio via Amazon Prime Video and Netflix but I cannot seem to get it to work with Kodi (Jarvis). I have played with the advanced audio settings in Kodi (2 channels, 5.1 channels), I have a 5.1 setup with all connections via HDMI. I believe these are the settings I should use in Kodi:
Audio Output Device HDMI
Number of channels 7.1
Output configuration Best Match
Stereo upmix Disabled
Normalize levels on downmix Disabled
Resample quality Medium
Keep audio device alive 1 min
Enabled passthrough Enabled
Passthrough output device HDMI
Dolby Digital (AC3) capable receiver Enabled
Enabled Dolby Digital transcoding Disabled
DTS capable receiver Enabled
TrueHD capable receiver Enabled
DTS-HD capable receiver Enabled
Can someone confirm if this is correct?
It’s possible that I have not actually found 5.1 sources. Are there any know samples that I should try first? If so, what should I try?
