I currently have about 5 TVs in my house to watch movies/eps on and each one of them are dedicated kodi drones. I use a standard PC (usually a Dell Optiplex 960 because I have a bunch laying around) with about 4GB of memory in it and a decent processor. I run Windows 10 on each one currently but I was thinking of getting away from Windows all together because I simply don’t use windows for any reason. I was trying to get some in-site on what’s the best platform to run Kodi on…
I was thinking about Linux, but that’s yet another OS dependant solution and I’m a lot less familiar with Linux than Windows. Then I thought about android (something like Android x86) because of it’s small footprint, speed etc. I’m just not sure what direction I want to go. I really want to just create the Kodi drones that boot up really fast (currently my win10 boxes take about 30-45 seconds or so) and just load Kodi. I was considering just making my Win10 boxes have a windows shell of kodi to make it simple but the remote that I use has a button to load kodi (when it crashes) and I use it often… :/
Anyway, any suggestions?
