Upgrading to 17.1

I have tried upgrading to 17.1 but the farthest I can get is when the Kodi 17.1 window opens and says “Opening first time”. After that all I have is a blank screen.And now I lost Kodi 16.1 Jarvis. Tried reinstalling Jarvis but no luck there either. Help!
