When I play a video file on my Nvidia Shield with Kodi 17.1, I randomly don’t have sound.
If I open the “audio” menu and switch “on” or “off” the option “stereo upmix”, the sound comes back.
It’s really a pain in the foot to have to go to this menu and change this setting for almost all my videos.
It’s not the fact to have stereo upmix on or off that changes the sound, it’s the fact to switch it.
If I set as default parameter “stereo upmix: on”, I’ll not have sound and should go to the menu to switch to “off”.
If I set as default parameter “stereo upmix: off”, I’ll not have sound and should go to the menu to switch to “on”.
Once the sound came back, I can switch back, and it’s still working…
