Wrap volume keys to send http, tcp or udp requests

Hello,

I have a SmartHome (something like FHEM) that can receive commands by http and udp.

In Kodi, is it possible to “wrap” the original volume control (like it is used by the Kodi Remote App) to not change the Kodi volume, but to send my user-defined http or udp commands to the SmartHome?

Or possibly, someone knows an Addon that captures the volume keys and can redirect them based on a config file.
