I have a FLIRC-Streacom that I’m setting up, and so far so good except the DVD Menu key… I think that’s what it’s called.
Searched and I’ve seen a few posts saying it’s Player controls (OSD), and on the Wiki page that shows as “M” so I mapped the button to “M” in the Flirc setup, but when playing a video, instead of the bar along the bottom for play/pause/ffwd etc… and to the right the buttons for downloading subs, video setup etc (which is what I need) it shows me the file list I opened the file from.
I’m using OpenElec (first time, so far seems pretty good) on a new 32GB SSD drive, but using my old 250GB drive with Win7 on it to setup the Flirc since it’s not a USB model and no Flirc setup in OpenElec because from what I can tell, no OS window like Linux/Ubuntu. So setting up in Win7 and then swapping drives… so gotta get it sorted and saved (saves to the chip on the Flirc) before I swap stuff around. Right now it’s just drives hanging out the side. Hopefully that all makes sense.
So, which keyboard button puts the bar at the bottom during video playback for basic controls, video setup, downloading subs etc?
Or… I can leave it at “M” and use that Keymap editor plugin and remap it, in which case what is it that I’m looking for?
The Flirc doesn’t seem to allow key-combos, so if it’s something like Ctrl+M or something, I can’t do that.
Also, I have the remotes mapped for the numbers 1, 2, 3, etc… how do I map that so become letters? I use to use EventGhost and set that up years ago, and it seemed to just work so when in my Movies folder, I could click 6 and jump down to M, click 6 again and goes to N, again and goes to O…. right now, they’re just numbers by the looks of it.
Thanks
