Questions regarding Android TV and NAS

Hello,

I would like to remove a lot of my old, large, noisy boxes from the living room by restructuring my media infrastructure in the house.

Can you install Kodi as an app on a new smart-TV running Android OS? I am thinking of buying a 4k Philips TV. Will this system be able to deliver a smuth performance?

My library mostly consist of h265 1080p/4k material, so I would need a TV that offers hardware decoding of 265 material? Is that hard to come by?

If I store all local files on a NAS, will that slow down the performance noticably?

Can Kodi treat the files stored on the NAS as regularly stored files, so that they can be added to the library?

Is this a working and good way to set up the system?
