SQL name tag advancedsettings.xml

Hi all, I am trying to setup Kodi and have multiple databases for sql. I have 3 Windows 10 PCs, 2 Macs, 4 raspberry pi’s and 1 android tablet. For the tvs that the adults will use will have access to all the content. The tv and tablet that the kids will use will have access to only the kid oriented movies.

In the past I was able to do this with the advancedsettings file but with Kodi 17 it does not seem to like this tag. When the tag is there the system freezes at start up and never loads past the Kodi Krypton screen. If I use the same file and remove the name tag for the database it loads just fine. However this would end up loading the same databases for all the clients which I don’t want. I want to keep things simple by using the same username and password but with just different database names. The names of the databases are called kodi_videos and kid_kodi_videos.

When reading online via the wiki it states that the name tag has not been needed or used since like version 13 or something. I been using the name tag since version 16 and it worked fine then. This was the guide I was following when I tried to set this up. https://www.htpcbeginner.com/kodi-mysql-…e-library/
