Please forgive me if this issue has been addressed before. I searched all the threads and could not find the subject of my issue so I will ask it here in a new thread.
I am using a MacBook Pro running OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5
I just installed KODI 17.1 Krypton. Now I will try to add media sources through the file manager. I can enter the source URL, name it and then when I try to go further I get the error “unable to connect Couldn’t retrieve directory information. This could be due to the network not being connected. Would you like to add it anyway?” I have tried several locations with different internet connections and know that I am connected to the internet but still get the same message.
I answered yes and proceeded to finish the install of the source. The named source will show in the file manager. I will then go to video addons and install from zip file. The named source will show here but I can’t open the zip file.
As a side note, I have tried installing KODI (an earlier version I believe it was Jarvis) to the same macbook pro and got the same issue when trying to add a source.
