Audio Screeching Problem when trying to start Kodi

I was on vacation 2 weeks ago when I last used Kodi. I opened Kodi today and immediately I get a loud screeching noise. As far as I I know I have not made any changes. I tried other apps that have audio and don’t have the issue. I have a Samsung tablet running Galaxy Tab S2, Android 7.0, Last patch update April 1, 2017, Build # NRD90M.T810XXU2DQCL. I uninstalled kodi and reinstalled it from the play store with no success. If you can help I would appreciate it.
