Cant see View Option Bar on left side of Kodi 17.1 anymore

Hi,
I can’t seem to figure out why I can’t see the view option bar in Kodi 17.1.
eg: while in addon videos folder, i could move the mouse to the left hand side of the screen to pull up the
“view option” menu and it would appear, so that I could change the view of thumbnails.
Well now it doesn’t show up anymore when I move the mouse there. I don’t think I’ve changed anything
How do I get it back.
Please help.
