Hi everybody,
I did a first thread that has been closed because of Rule Violation. Very sorry for that, I had a preinstalled / configured version of Kodi on a Box and I reinstalled the same setup on my Windows for testing purpose. The following description is then true for Windows and Android (I cleaned the Android one and did the same tests).
I am then back to stock versions of Kodi.
Here is my problems:
Problem 1
– I tried to setup a Sock5 Proxy but that does not work. Steps:
1/ System Settings > Internet Access
2/ Setup my proxy in Sock5
3/ Restart Kodi
4/ Go to web viewer (I have installed that programm addon)
5/ Open api.ipify.org => My ISP IP
Logs with proxy url masked: https://pastebin.com/9iUWEgHq
– I Did the same with the same Proxy but in HTTP
1/ System Settings > Internet Access
2/ Setup my proxy in HTTP
3/ Restart Kodi
4/ Go to web viewer (I have installed that programm addon)
5/ Open api.ipify.org => Proxy IP, Great !
Logs with proxy url masked: https://pastebin.com/uGThbh7z
Summary: I noticed that you can put anything in sock5 proxy, that’ll never block your connection. But in HTTP if your proxy is wrong that does not work. So for me only http is taken into account.
Logs, proxy not masked (Using proxy anonexistingproxy.foo, type 5) : https://pastebin.com/mgYXmSK4
Problem 2
– I wanted to get the logs so I did “Enable debug logging” and the path given does … not exist (c:\Users\man3uuu\AppData\Roaming\Kodi\Kodi.log) as I am using the Windows Store version, I did a search and found the logs there : C:\Users\man3uuu\AppData\Local\Packages\XBMCFoundation.Kodi_4n2hpmxwrvr6p\LocalCache\Roaming\Kodi
Thanks !
