Hi all!
I have a 2TB Seagate GoFlex Home NAS (with an extra 2TB HD connected via USB) which I can access through Kodi via smb without problems from all my Win 7 PC’s.
Until yesterday I had Kodi 17.1 installed and configured to use my NAS via smb on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016). I could without any issues watch my movies, update my library etc. But the other day suddenly I could not connect to my NAS with my tablet, even though It still works flawlessly on all my Win7 PC’s! I ended up uninstalling Kodi on my android tablet to set it up from scratch, but now for the life of me I can’t connect to my nas via smb!
The problems seems to change, since most often I get a “Error: Operation not permitted” when I try to browse the group (which in my case is called “SEAGATEGROUP”) while in other cases I get as far as to be prompted to write my mediadevice name, username and password. I the latter case it’s like my username and password will not be accepted even though I’m completely sure it’s correct!
Any advice would be most appreciated
Cheers,
Thomas
