Hi,
I have just installed Kodi on a Rasperry Pi (OpenElec distribution). I want to access a folder on my computer (Windows 10 Pro) with a Samba share.
On the computer, I have created a dedicated user with password, and gave him the rights (ntfs and share) to the folder.
When I add a new source on Kodi, I add a new network location, select Samba protocol, and enter the IP address of my computer, the shared folder name, user and password. I then click OK, and I can see the content inside the shared folder (so far, no problem…)
But ! When I want to validate the video source, I have this “lock preference” windows that keep coming, and I can’t it to work.
(I tried to connect the samba share from my android phone, it’s working perfectly)
I googled a lot before posting here, tried different things. Some solutions were to add “everyone” to the share permissions. As I use this computer at work too, I don’t want to do that…
Has anyone found a solution ?
