Kodi 16.1 on fire stick crashes

I installed KODI 16.1 on Amazon Fire Stick and then upgraded to 17.1 (Krypton). Not satisfied with Kodi 17.1 I uninstalled it and reinstalled 16.1. Now whenever I switch over from one program to another in ZEM addon Kodi crashes. Like if I am watching Indian Channels or even in Indian channels switching from one channel to another crashes KODI. Previously when I used 16.1 it never crashed. Please help.
