Fresh clean install. Video Plays; can hear audio. Cannot see video.

Hello problem solvers.

First off: I have just again done a clean install, deleted profile folder, no other addons installed.

I have just upgraded from Kodi 15 where everything was working like clockwork to 17.3 after that security scare.

I have now a problem… When I play any sort of a movie file, I can hear Audio but cannot see any video. I do however see flashes of color every now and then. here is what I have done to fix the problem, but no cigar.

1. Removed Kodi Totally including Roaming Profile folder
2. Reinstalled
3. Rebooted.
4. Readded video libray
5. Still no video playing.
6. Restored my settings backup to the fresh install of 17.3
7. Still no video
8. Internet streams also don’t work.
