Using Krypton v17.2 on an Android box (3GBx32GB). I have an UPnP media-server on my network running Twonky.
Twonky serves up video and audio files onto the network. In the folders for each album/film/etc, there is a thumbnail called folder.jpg. Twonky serves up these thumbnails (folder.jpg) perfectly fine to other devices on my network. And it used to serve them fine to Kodi as well. Something has happened recently (i don’t know what) which has caused my Kodi client to be unable to ‘see’ these thumbnails via the Twonky server. However, when Kodi uses SMB server, it shows the thumbnails just fine.
I have reinstalled Kodi 16.1, 17.1, and 17.2 – made no improvements to the problem. I have restarted Twonky (the UPnP media server) many times, and i have rebuilt its database.
The one clue I have is that Kodi does see ‘some’ media thumbnails ONLY IF that thumbnail has been embedded in the media file itself.
Any ideas are appreciated.
