Sound issue

Forgive me if this is not the right place for this, this is my first post. I recently got the Amazon fire stick with Kodi installed on it. I am using it on a Sony smart tv and Sony sound bar. I have the hdmi cable in slot one, and the firestick in slot 3, when I switch over to hdmi 3 on my tv and soundbar, I get a picture but no sound. I have tried switching the hdmi choices on the soundbar but no luck. I also tried putting the stick in hdmi 4, but nope. Any suggestions on what I’m doing wrong? I’ve had to turn the soundbar off and just use Kodi with the regular crappy tv speakers. Thanks everyone.
