I recently bought a TCL TCL 55″ UHD SMART LED TV – LED55P1000US.
The specs of the TV:
Core Architecture: 2x ARM Cortex-A53 @ 1400 MHz
Instruction Set: 64-bit ARMv8-A
Screen Resolution: 1920×1080 (Don’t know why this resolution even though the TV is 4k)
xdpi/ydpi: 240/240 dpi
GPU Vendor: ARM
GPU Renderer: Mali-450 MP
Refresh Rate: 60 Hz
Android Version: 5.1.1 (Lollipop)
API Level: 22
Kernel Architecture: aarch64
I installed the latest build of Kodi 17.3 and everytime I play any 1080p content it stutters. Tried all most all the possible playback settings. I can’t figure out whether the TV is trying to upscale the video which causes the problem or Kodi trying to match the refresh rate.
I tried playing 1080p content via HDMI, USB etc. on the TV and work perfectly.
Here is the log when I tried to play a 1080p content:
