crashes when installing from repository

If I try to download from repository kodi freezes up and then forces closed. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, I have tried to read through the logs but have no clue what to look for or how to read them. I am not sure what to do know so I am posting this here. I dont know if I am in the right place or exactly what to do with this. I have never posted on any kind or type of forum so just not sure.
