Selecting currently recording item in guide, users a new tuner

Hi

I’ve noticed that selecting an item in the guide launches a new instance of a tuner even if the tuner is currently recording the programme selected.
Please can this be altered so that if programme selected is being currently recorded then the same tuner be used, else crashes occur.

Kodi Krypton 1.72 beta from the Windows store and Next PVR 3.7.7. Tuner is a wintv dual HD USB by Hauppage.
