[Quick background]
I have been testing Kodi since version 16 as frontend client for my home control system in my new home. It has been quite stable once I got up to the correct hardware with the occasional crash so far apart, it not even worth mentioning. This was the case through build [Kodi 17.0-ALPHA1 Git:20160401-72769f6], compiled [Apr 1 2016]. At that point, I was confident enough to ‘go live’ with 12 frontend throughout the house and dedicated server equipment to support the backend. As custom skin and plugins (home automation and security cameras) were involved, I decided to halt my development until v17 was officially released.
[Issue]
I recently upgraded to v17 beta3 when it was released and began experiencing stability problems. After viewing live TV (mythTV) for a period of time, over 10 minutes, any interaction with the system causes it to crash. The interaction crashes via all input methods I have: remote via CEC, keyboard and web interface. I have 2 devices that are still running the Apr 1 2016 build above without this issue, which leads me to believe its not a backend problem. I also tried installing the latest available at this time, build [Kodi 17.0-BETA4 Git:20161009-6e23d12-dirty], compiled [Oct 10 2016] and the issue still persists.
I just signed up today and donated, hopefully to get some help resolving this matter. I have three generations of mother’s yelling at me they can’t watch TV and elections
Here are the logs from the last 2 crashes:
Thanks in advance for any assistance
