What Setup for 2 Shield TV devices and a NAS

Synology NAS (Media split into folders: Family Films, Family TV, Sci-Fi, Drama, My Films etc)
Nvidia Shield 2nd Gen – Kodi (Aeon Nox: Silvo, themoviedb.org & Trakt.tv add-ons) streaming my media…..all works great.

Have a smart TV (different room – not connected to the Shield TV), where we have the Emby App (on the TV) to watch the same Media from the NAS. The NAS has Emby server installed on (connected to the same Trakt.tv account) it to feed the app. The ‘Smart’/WiFi is not working on this TV anymore and I want to update my Shield, so ordered a new Shield Pro TV. I’m going to move the current Shield TV to this TV and setup my new Shield TV in the main room (replacing the current one).

Should I setup the new Shield Pro TV the same as the current one – all would work and sync with Trakt.tv account for watched data etc., or should I set them both up differently? I have read that Emby –  ‘Emby For Kodi’ is better for displaying the media information but Kodi is better for playing the media. So is kodi with ‘Emby For Kodi’ and no Trakt App best solution on both devices, or just duplicate the current setup on my new device?

Any benefits in one set up over the other?
Will quality/performance etc be the same in both setups?
