I had a planned network outage last night of 2+ hours. During that time, I attempted to access media contact stored locally on my NAS via SMB. Kodi v20.5.0 is installed on a Nvidia Shield TV Pro (2019 version), it failed to render content and I believe raised a dialog box about the fail. For the life of me, I can’t think why that would happen. Since the network was offline, even if VPN was started, it would have failed and there is no Kill Switch, so the local server (using its SMB name) should have been visible.
What am I missing?
