Sorry for the delay in replying.
I used this:
.\vlc -I ntservice –ntservice-install –ntservice-name=VLCstreamer –ntservice-extraintf=http, rc –ntservice-options=”–direct3d11-hw-blending –directx-audio-device=1 –no-qt-privacy-ask –no-qt-error-dialogs…”
Anyway, it worked one time, then not again. If I delete the service and remake it, it works one time then not again. I deleted it for good.
It would be nice to have VLC listening on the LAN without having to open it every time, but I guess I could do the open at startup and minimize to tray, like you said.
