I’ve connected my Cannon VIXIA HV40 (tape) camcorder to a usb port on my 2019, 27” iMac as follows: From Camcorder, thru HDMI connector, thru cable to HDMI video capture to USB adaptor to USB port on the iMac. I am clueless how to access the input video signal and am hoping someone here can suggest a solution.
If I can play the video on the iMac, I can easily record the screen . . . problem solved. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
