Ok, I was able to get VLC to play streaming videos by going into Settings > History and putting a check mark in the box next to the
“Playback history Save all media played in History section” option.
So now I can play streaming videos but the videos are freezing intermittently throughout playback. This can be remedied by lowering the playback speed to 60x or lower but obviously that’s not a viable solution. Is there a buffer setting or some other setting that I can use to eliminate the video freezing problem?
