Hello,
I organize all my stuff with jriver which has has one of the widest configurable DLNA servers I know. I stream everything to kodi on the zidoo UHD3000. Its much faster and more reliable than to bulit the own kodi database on the zidoo.
Unfortunately KODI hast some bugs as a DLNA Client (double checked with other clients – all fine here).
1. KODI for Android dates every Video to 1905 as year. (possible this is an Adroid bug)
2. KODI always sorts the Videos within a provided “folder” by title. The Server has for example sorted by imdb rating – Kodi sorts by title. Other Clients sort as delivered by the Server.
3. Even if I wanna sort within Kodi DLNA client interface only by Runtime is possible. I guess that is because KODI doesnt read embedded Metadata via dlna, except title/filename and runtime.
At least to make KODI behave that its doesnt touch the Sorting order from the client woudl be helpful.
If the delivered “item” is a playlist KODI keeps the order from the server, but to make Playlists for every automated Collection on the server makes no sense.
The worng Behavior from KODI is for Video and audio (music) the same.
Hope this can be fixed in upcoming releases.
Thx Chris
