Kodi freezing when browsing nfs share to add TV programmes

Hello,   I’ve been using kodi for a number of years – I’ve got a set up with a couple of firesticks in TVs, and a laptop running linux.  The symptoms are the same whether I try and use the firesticks or the laptop, so we’ll ignore the firesticks for now and concentrate on  the laptop, as it’s obviously easier to get data out of.

The TV programmes are on a NFS share.
I have a raspberry pi running mariadb to share the library  (rasperian version 6.1.21-v8+) on aarch64
The pi also has samba shares for the thumbnails etc. – one for each of the connected devices (i.e thumbnails are not shared – they’re only moved to the network as the firesticks would fill up otherwise)
The laptop is running ubuntu 24.04 LTS on x86_64 architecture
Kodi is installed from flatpak, and is Kodi (21.0 (21.0.0) Git:20240406-60c4500-dirty)

Since upgrading from v20 to 21, I’m having a problem with adding new stuff to the library – the symptoms are:
1. Go to Files, and then the TV NFS share
2a. It sometimes takes a while and successfully loads the list, and allows me to scan the new series to the library.  Upon return to the list it then hangs
2b. On other occasions it hangs the first time you try and load the list

The first boot into a 21 firestick upgraded the library, and I’ve upgraded all the devices to be using v21.

The logfile of scenario 2a occurring from startup is here:
https://paste.kodi.tv/waqafatupi.kodi

It basically gives up at 09:38 – there’s a bit of activity after that, but the screen remains frozen – it’s not updating the CPU usage values or anything on screen.

Thanks for your time
Chris
