Can I copy the portable_data folder between different Kodi versions?

I run Kodi v. 19.5 in portable mode and have a portable_data folder.
I will install Kodi v. 20.x and also run it in portable mode.
Can I copy the portable_data folder from v. 19.5 to v. 20.x?
What about from v. 19.5 to v. 21.x?
