Stopping the automatic countdown playback on TV Shows / Movies

I have this setting unchecked in the player, yet it’s still giving me a countdown to play the next episode. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to disable automatic playback, because since the program has been updated a lot, the old process doesn’t work, and the setting itself seems to be buried in a menu somewhere I’m not seeing.
