When I try to uninstall VLC from Debian 12 using sudo apt purge vlc it appears to execute but does not remove all components a search show /usr/bin/VLC still present.
I manually removed all components of VLC and tried to reinstall using sudo apt install VLC and I get the message “vlc is already the newest version (3.0.21-0+deb12u1)”
What could be the reason for these situations ?
