Thanks for trying to help, but that is not truly correct. Media/Open Folder (/Open File) will indeed show what your last opened file location was. For example, if I opened folder “Secret” to view file, “topsecret.mp4” then using open file/folder will take you to that exact folder location. No, it won’t display the exact file “topsecret.mp4” as the last file opened but it will open the folder that contains it. Not much of a difference, since it still reveals the location of your most recently opened file. If “topsecret.mp4” is the only file in that folder it most certainly has just ratted you out. Also, I know that under Preferences I can uncheck “Save Recent Items.” But I can find no option under any of the various dialog boxes to “Open Recent Media” or clear same. I am aware you can do something similar via the Taskbar, but I already have that function set to off. Is this missing “Open Recent Media” true only for VLC 3.0.21 Veternari?
