At this moment, I am in the process of replacing my old Synology NAS with a newer model, also Synology.
On the old setup, I had shared folders on the NAS for movies and series. These shared folders are mapped to separate drive letters on my PC. I uploaded mkv files via FTP to the NAS, and then I used Ember. I use KODI on a RPi for the actual viewing.
On the new NAS, I also created shared folders for movies and series. as well as mapping these to separate drive letters on my PC. However, when running Ember (and creating new paths to the media), something weird happens: movies are handled just fine, but when I select ‘update library -> TV series’, a popup appears that an unknown network error occured, and Ember crashes to desktop. In the log, there is no additional information.
Any clues? Especially the fact that movies are working just fine, I am a loss 🙁
