VLC media player for Windows Troubleshooting • Re: Trying to convert video FPS on vlc and getting a MRL error and unable to open file after converting

I’ve tried with your file and I couldn’t encode to H.265/HEVC, I got this error message even though I’m using the regular Vlc v3.0.21 version:

Code:

x265 error: cannot open x265 encoderavcodec debug: using ffmpeg Lavc58.134.100avcodec error: cannot find encoder MPEG-H Part2/HEVC (H.265) *** Your Libav/FFmpeg installation is crippled. *** *** Please check with your Libav/FFmpeg packager. *** *** This is NOT a VLC media player issue. ***main debug: no encoder modules matchedstream_out_transcode error: cannot find video encoder (module:any fourcc:hevc). Take a look few lines earlier to see possible reason.main debug: removing module "avcodec"

However, I had no problems when encoding to H.264+MP3 in MP4, the final file has 30 FPS and is playing fine.

is there anyway to do it in H.265 …..the video itself is IN 265 so i don’t get why its not working…can you see why its acting like this? I kind of need it in 265

Also why did you add mp3 onto it…the file itself has no sound on it….is it possible to do the same without the mp3 part? meaning just H.264 in MP4
