Well folks – just curious, does anyone have BD-J menu support working on a Pi 5?
I’m getting a java error when I switch from simple to full menus in Kodi settings. Several discs fail to play back. including The Dark Knight Rises (basically, just DVD and non-BDJ menus are working). This is a brand new (as in today) Pi 5 build, with a fresh install of Kodi and JRE using apt-get. Using the default JRE – is there another variant that should be used?
There doesn’t seem to be much info on setup on the wiki (there’s even a note that says “We need to expand on this section” so maybe some day).
If anyone has a walkthrough or suggestions, it’s appreciated. My entire media library is in BDMV folder format accessed by Windows/Intel systems over a network share, but came across this Pi5 and would like to get it working as well. Menus are kind of a must due to the bonus features etc.
