I am testing Kodi to see if I can switch to it for a client to my tvshow/movie repository. I am to the point where most stuff is working ok so I am trying to get the subtitles working. But so far, I get the same subtitle, actually an Ad for some other repository. I opened the .srt file and what you see in the picture is all that is in the .srt file. Before today I had never seen a reason to open an .srt file as they just worked on other clients.
I am “assuming” I have the addon installed correctly as it is downloading the .srt file and that useless subtitle shows at the bottom of the tvshow screen. But I don’t quite understand why I am getting that. I have been using subtitles for years, mainly on British shows. And some are poor and others great, seems to be the luck of the draw on which you pick. But in this addon, so far only one subtitle appears available on the few different shows I have tried.
Do I need a different type of account on opensubtitles, from what I am reading the vip accounts are so you don’t get the advertising, but in the subtitles? -Bill
