Been trying to play unsuccessfully video files from my PVR (recorded OTA shows, etc) which makes .mts with accompanying .mts.meta files which play fine on it and my Blu-ray player. Can’t get these files to play on anything else in a useful manner – VLC plays it but it is pixelated, choppy, hangs, etc – unusable… most others won’t play them at all (WIN7, Ubuntu, Samsung smart TV, etc.).
SO, tried to convert the .mts file to mp4, m4v, etc. and get distorted, pixelated, choppy, etc. – sometimes the video file is over 5 hours long ~ from a 1 hr video? Others create files that just display black screen and no timer info, or just lock up the player. Used online conversions and one’s downloaded in both win and linux – no good ~ ANY of them!
Hope to find SOMETHING that will convert it – most converter input file list have no .mts option… closest thing is m2ts :-\
…what’s a girl to do!?!
