Hi, I’m tring to figure out how Control for DLNA player works, and I’m using Kodi for this.
If I got right, we suppose there is a DLNA server on the network, but I don’t thin this is crucial, probably it’s enought to have an http server available. Thwn we have a DLNA player, Kodi running on android TV, which I need to tell which media to open, I’m using for this Node red module contrib DLNA but the information how to use it are missing and the author doesn’t reply, I’ve tried to connect to each opened port on Kodi but I havent results.
Can please somebody explain how DLNA works?
On which port player is listenng for commands?
What is the difference of Cast? I’ve also tried the module Cast2 for NR, it suggest to connect to port 8009, but Kodi doesn’t have that open. So I’ve tried with all opened but it doesn’t connect
