NO SOUND, NOTHING EVER WORKS!!!

I’ve setup Kodi on a Raspberry Pi 3, using the analog output to feed into a mini amp, and I have ABSOLUTELY NO SOUND!

NO SOUND, ON AN AUDIO PLAYER!  

Absolutely ridiculous that nothing works at all with a basic install.

Please advise.
