I set up a Pulse-Eight USB to CEC adapter on my NUC where I run Kodi. It worked fine for quite some time – until today. When I open Kodi, it says that it has connected to CEC, but shows the name of my eARC soundbar, not my TV – and control over CEC doesn’t work – button presses on the TV remote are not registered by Kodi.
However, if I exit Kodi and run `cec-client`, then I immediately can see the button presses from the TV remote being shown in the output of cec-client. So hardware-wise everything seems to check out, it’s something with the configuration on Kodi side that makes it not work.
When I disconnect the soundbar and restart Kodi, then CEC control works correctly.
I think that maybe something triggered Kodi to watch for events from the eARC soundbar instead of the TV itself? Is there a way to configure that?
