New 2GB Raspberry Pi 5 with cost optimised CPU

I don’t know if 2GB is enough for LibreElec – but if it is this may be of interest : https://www.raspberrypi.com/news/2gb-ras…now-at-50/

(** EDIT @chewitt has said over on the LE forums that a 2GB Pi 5 would be fine for LE – I guess we can now find out ! **)

$10 cheaper with 2GB RAM and a revised D0 variant of the BCM2712 that removes elements on the SoC die that are not used by the Pi5, which has reduced the cost of the SoC (I guess Broadcom have optimised it for the Pi models – it may well end up in the others too)

The 2GB RAM variant arriving isn’t a surprise – there are 1,2,4 and 8 GB marks on the silk screen where they solder a marking (0 ohm resistor) component to indicate the model (previously it’s been far harder to tell Pi RAM capacity by looking at a board on say the Pi 4 series)
