I use to play HDR videos with Kodi on my (non HDR) SDR display (on Windows 11). It seems that Kodi detects, that there’s no HDR display and makes the SDR conversion to look somewhat correct on an SDR display. But I have found in my comparisons, that the picture produced this way is rather somewhat “darker”, than the “original” SDR version of the same video. So my question would be, that how can I correct/adjust the picture brightness in HDR->SDR conversion mode to match more correctly to my preference?
In MPC-BE + MPC Renderer there’s a setting for this called “SDR Display Nits” (witch works expectedly well), but I can’t find any similar in the Kodi settings.
So can someone point me to the corresponding option, or give a short tutorial how to achieve this?
