Feature: an option to automatically display the OSD, or a certain aspect of it (just the video title, say) for 10 seconds at the start of each new video. Or even to display it for 10 seconds every 10 minute interval.
This would be really handy when playing long playlists of music videos, the way most music video shows used to do it so you know the artist and song title. I sometimes set Kodi to shuffle random old movies for my tech-phobic parents too, and they’d like to know what movie is starting or in progress, without having to find the remote and remember the button to push.
Is this something I could easily add with a Python plug-in or something, if it’s not an appropriate feature request? I realize it might be kind of niche.
