Kodi crash while using it and now it still crashing on Xubuntu

I I’m using xubuntu 14.04. It was working fine and suddenly it crashed. then I was not able to use it any more. I made a copy of the .kodi folder and remove it using the site instructions, but when reinstalling it keep crashing. I’m getting this error: *** Error in `/usr/lib/kodi/kodi.bin’: free(): invalid pointer: 0x0c2a6050 *** and a bunch of stuff after that.
