would like to set up mpc-hc like internal player

I’m sure this is in the forums somewhere already, but I would like to set up mpc-hc as my external player and have have the same kind of controls like the internal player. So basically I was wondering if there was any way to automate settings for my external player like if I were using the internal player. I just like the quality of mpc-hc more. Also files fail to render with streaming on mpc-hc, so I would like to try to figure how to get streaming to work with it as well. I would appreciate any help with this if possible.
