Is there a way to get SPMC to install and only use a sdcard?

My Shield showed SPMC taking up 1.5GB but it was more like 4GB. Since I am using the 16gb version of the Shield, I’d like to move this to the sdcard. Is it possible to move the app and any other data to the sdcard?
