Receivers connected to kodi have to be told how to interpret a stereo signal from kodi. Movies should play in “PLII Movie” but I want Music to play in just stereo. This is the only time I need to use my receiver remote, so its a bit of a pain
It would be great if kodi had a music mode which could force playback in stereo by sending a fake 5.1/multichannel signal with only R&L channels,
Alternatively if there was a way to use CEC to change the stereo mode, that would be even better but I think thats not possible.
