HDMI to TV will not play KODI… USED TO WORK

OK so I have looked for an answer for some time and haven’t had any luck so bringing it to you guys. So I know I have the right versions and all that, and none of that matters. I have 2 Tvs a (42 vizio) and a NEW(65 lg SMART) I JUST GOT. I’M trying to play kodi with my HDMI cable from my laptop onto the 65″.it will play on the 42 TV but won’t play on the 65 which is a smart TV. When the laptop is plugged up to the 65 it will pull up the MAIN KODI menu then freeze only on the TV, the laptop will continue to play and function. I have a fire stick plugged into the 65 INCH so I know it will play kodi and its not the app itself. Pretty sure it’s something from computer to HDMI of some sort. But don’t understand because it plays flawless on the 42. I know ur probly saying then just usethe firestick but I’m still trying to run this laptop any ideas?
